Our restaurant offers a wide variety of decent-portion breakfasts, lunches and take-away meals have our clients returning time after time. Our clients love our pork schnitzel served with potato salad. Our goal is to provide our clients with alternative meals; we try to stay different and stick with true German cuisine.
We pride ourselves on our quality A Grade meat. Norbert takes great pride in all his products and has done so ever since he started in the business. Our sausages are all hand made and we also make our own bacon. No unnecessary additives are added to our products.
We are open 7 days a week, except on Christmas day. On public holidays we are open from 08:00 – 13:00.

Norbert came to South Africa in 1984 from a little village called Hirzweiler in Germany. The butchery was originally located in Kensington, JHB for 36 years, after which we relocated to Wilropark, Roodepoort in 2009.
Norbert’s is a family run butchery which means that we do not see our clientele as “customers”, we see them as part of our family.
